Originally brought to the world three years ago through Deepwit Recordings, this EP represents a matured artistic vision, weaving together narratives and soundscapes that are deeply personal yet universally resonant. The title “Different Winds” symbolizes the diverse experiences and emotions captured within each track, offering listeners a multifaceted journey through sound.

1. Nakage Atmosphere
The opening track, “Nakage Atmosphere,” is a sonic exploration of the Nak-age—a fictional era conceptualized by Nakiso where his art flourishes and invites others to partake in the culture he creates. This track immerses listeners in a rich tapestry of field recordings, atmospheric stabs, and ethereal pads, all anchored by a robust bassline. The composition conveys the essence of this imagined era, where creativity and community intertwine, crafting a vivid auditory landscape that sets the tone for the entire EP.

2. No Streets
In “No Streets,” Nakiso guides listeners through an unconventional journey marked by uncertainty and spontaneity. Streets typically provide structure and direction, but in this track, the absence of streets symbolizes a departure from the norm, embracing the unpredictability of the wind. This experimental deep house piece is characterized by its innovative sound design, where a single lead sound metamorphoses into various elements within the song. The final track, “Keep,” is a heartfelt tribute to Gcina, a mentor who taught Nakiso the intricacies of playing keys. The name Gcina means “Keep” in Nakiso’s language, and this song captures the essence of gratitude and preservation.
