Making Waves at the 2025 AWS Summit in Johannesburg

When we say Only Make Waves is committed to showing up where it matters most, we mean it. This year, we took that commitment to new heights by attending the 2025 AWS Summit in Johannesburg, an event that gathered innovators, leaders, and game changers in the world of cloud and data technology. But for us, it was not just about attending; it was about connecting, learning, and positioning ourselves where the future is being shaped.

From the moment we stepped into the Summit, we were immersed in conversations about how cloud technology, artificial intelligence, and data-driven solutions are transforming industries worldwide. What stood out most was the opportunity to go beyond theory and shake hands with some of the companies leading this transformation. We met the team from Dataiku, a global leader in collaborative data science, and shared conversations that hinted at future possibilities. We also engaged directly with Datadog, a powerhouse in cloud monitoring and security, walking away with exchanged contact details and the spark of potential collaboration.

For Only Make Waves, being at the Summit was about much more than being present. It was about showing the world that we are actively seeking out relationships and insights that will allow us to serve artists, creators, and communities better. We believe creativity thrives when it meets the right technology, and that is why being in the same rooms as industry leaders is nonnegotiable.

This trip reminded us that building something meaningful requires not only passion and creativity but also access, knowledge, and the right partners. We left Johannesburg with more than just notes and memories, we left with new connections, new ideas, and a renewed sense of what it means to truly make waves.
